SAN ANTONIO—Pro-Vigil, a global provider of video-based security solutions, announced the appointment of Mark Matlock to the position of vice president of Indirect Channel Revenue. The hiring follows the 2018 Q3 partnership the company entered into with Lydia Security Monitoring, operator of COPS Monitoring and UCC.
“The partnership and Mark's appointment have the full support of the executive team. We all understand it's the right move at the right time for our business's continued success,” Mark Eblin, chief executive officer of Pro-Vigil, said in the announcement. “The Lydia Security Monitoring partnership will be extraordinarily impactful, and Mark's guidance will prove invaluable as it develops over the coming years.”
Matlock's main responsibility is to oversee the growth of the company's solutions to alarm dealers, and he will directly manage Lydia Security Monitoring's more than 4,200 new dealers that now have access to Pro-Vigil's solutions. He and the sales and marketing team, the company noted, will assist dealers with the design, sales, and installation of solutions. Matlock will work with dealers to deepen their understanding of ways to properly leverage Pro-Vigil's technology so they can diversify and build recurring revenue.
“I'm thrilled to join Pro-Vigil and to help them leverage this very promising partnership with Lydia Security Monitoring,” Matlock said in a prepared statement. “I've worked in this industry for a long time and am confident my expertise will prove an asset to Pro-Vigil as we aggressively expand our sales footprint. We'll provide Lydia Security Monitoring's massive network of dealers with impeccable service and the industry's very best outdoor video monitoring solution.”
Matlock enjoyed a 16-year career with UCC/Lydia Security Monitoring, where he served as senior vice president and a vital member of the company's executive management team. He managed all of the marketing and sales efforts for the company. During his tenure at UCC, Matlock was the driving force behind the company's rapid growth.
“We knew going into our Lydia Security Monitoring partnership that we needed high-level personnel assistance to drive growth,” Jeremy White, founder of Pro-Vigil, said in the announcement. “Mark brings more than 30 years of alarm industry experience along with, of course, his intimate knowledge of UCC. He was instrumental in growing that company into a nationally recognized central station brand and helped to further their growth after the Lydia acquisition. We'll rely on his expertise to re-sell our services to dealers and help them understand how easy it is to support live outdoor video monitoring through Pro-Vigil.”
