MELVILLE, N.Y.—Representatives of Honeywell's three largest dealer organizations will gather for the first time at the JW Marriott Los Angeles LA Live Nov.7-10 for the CONNECT 2013 Conference.
Members of the First Alert Professional, Commercial Security Systems and Honeywell Integrated Security networks are among 1,000 attendees expected at the event, Honeywell said in a Sept. 18 news release.
“Arming our authorized dealers and integrators with the knowledge to better position themselves for the future of the security industry is a very serious undertaking,” said Marek Robinson, Honeywell's president of authorized dealer groups, in a prepared statement. “What better way to do that than by engaging industry experts and hearing from industry peers?”
Over the three-day conference, participants may attend 40 educational sessions covering topics ranging from the effect of cloud technologies on business to how to be part of the “Internet of Things” and provide better customer support. Other sessions address integrating security and energy management, connected home and connected small business markets, server virtualization, migrating from 2G to 4G alarm communications, and various business strategies. Registration is open until Oct. 14.
