ISC East 2023 wraps successful show in New York City

NORWALK, Ct.—Organizers of ISC East 2023 have announced another year of successful programming for security professionals, as well as double-digit attendee growth from the previous year.  

Built by RX Global and hosted in collaboration with premier sponsor Security Industry Association (SIA) and in partnership with ASIS NYC, ISC East featured keynote speakers, educational sessions, professional development, and over 220 exhibitors highlighting the latest technologies and solutions across the security industry.

From Nov. 14-16, the show welcomed over 5,700 total industry professionals at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. This year’s numbers showed significant growth. Attendance numbers totaled over 4,400 attendees, an increase of 25% from ISC East 2022. Attendees were excited to see, learn, and experience the newest trends and innovations in the security field.

“As we opened the doors to ISC East 2023, the crowd buzzed with anticipation and excitement for the dynamic programming ahead of them,” said Mary Beth Shaughnessy, ISC event vice president. “That energy carried through the three-day event from our dynamic keynote speakers to our informative educational sessions, and opportunities for professional development, which all led to a heavily trafficked show floor.”  
 

ISC EAST 2023 HIGHLIGHTS

SIA Education@ISC

From sessions spanning security systems to artificial intelligence and more, SIA Education@ISC offered 40-plus sessions and 80-plus speakers.

The Bridge 

ISC East’s main stage destination hosted a robust, two-day lineup of keynote speakers, education sessions, award ceremonies, and other industry events. The stage, located on the show floor, was home to the ISC Keynote Series, which featured security experts from the New York City community.

Career Zone

With sessions covering leadership training, career transitions, productivity methods, and more, the Career Zone provided attendees with the opportunity to network, shape their careers, and take steps to meet their professional goals. It also offered a complimentary headshot studio, sponsored by Axis Communications.

ASIS NYC Person of the Year Lunch

Honoring Mary Fetchet for her exceptional contributions to the New York City community and her unwavering support for the victims and families affected by 9/11 through her nonprofit organization, Voices of September 11th (VOICES)

Thomas H. Kean, former governor of New Jersey, and former chairman of the 9/11 Commission, delivered the ceremony’s keynote address. 

“The 2023 ISC East event was a tremendous success and continues to provide exceptional value as it connects the northeast regional security community and delivers vital training and education opportunities,” noted SIA CEO Don Erickson. “SIA thanks all the individuals and companies which contributed to this year’s success, particularly those that provided their expertise through the SIA Education@ISC conference program.

With industry professionals eager to network, conduct business, and learn from experts, show organizers noted they are looking forward to ISC West 2024, taking place April 9-12, 2024 (SIA Education@ISC: April 9-11; Exhibit Hall: April 10-12) at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, one of the largest and most dynamic security events of the year. 

ISC East 2024 will be held Nov. 19-21, 2024 (SIA Education@ISC: Nov.19-21; Exhibit Hall: Nov. 20-21), at the Javits Center in NYC.
