SOLON, Ohio—Mace Security International, a manufacturer of security and self-defense products and operator of the Mace CS central station, has established a charitable program to support at-risk individuals in the community.
Through the Mace Cares program, the company will donate a portion of proceeds from its Hot Pink line of pepper spray products—1 percent, up to $10,000—to the National Center for Victims of Crime, Casting for Recovery, and the Project Against Violent Encounters (PAVE). It will also make donations to sponsor charitable events, Mace said in a prepared statement.
“We feel it is important to constantly raise the awareness of crime prevention with the long-term goal of creating a safer world,” John McCann, president and CEO of Mace Security, said in the statement.
Donations will be made in October to coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Crime Prevention Month.
