Mace Security names SVP of operations

SOLON, Ohio—Mace Security International, a manufacturer and provider of electronic security products, has appointed Garnett R. Meador as general counsel and senior vice president of operations, according to a company statement.
“We are very excited for Garnett to join the team and assist the management team in the transformation of the brand,” John McCann, president and CEO of Mace, said in the statement.
From 2006 to 2013, Meador worked at Jo-Ann Stores, a fabric retailer, where he was instrumental in the company's acquisition by a private equity firm. Previously he was part of the leadership team for a family of businesses that included a software development company and a regional health-care staffing firm.
Meador's appointment is effective April 2.
