LAS VEGAS—Mission 500, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children and families in need across the U.S., has announced an open call for nominations for its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Humanitarian Awards.
The Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility Award recognizes companies in the security industry that demonstrate outstanding commitment to helping those in need. Nominations are evaluated based on the effectiveness of CSR programs in impacting children in need, involvement of personnel, and activities beyond financial contributions.
The Humanitarian Award honors an individual within the security industry for his/her significant contributions to humanitarian causes focused on helping children in need. Nominations are open and are evaluated based on their contributions to social causes.
“We are excited to honor companies and individuals that go above and beyond in their efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of children,” Mission 500 co-chair Tracy Larson told Security Systems News (SSN). “The Corporate Social Responsibility and Humanitarian Awards aim to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable contributions of organizations and a stand-out individual within the security industry.”
The award ceremony, which will feature the presentation of both the Corporate Social Responsibility and Humanitarian Awards, is scheduled for Thursday, April 11, at 4:00 p.m. local time during ISC West 2024. The ceremony will take place in the Bridge area on the show floor.
Larson added, “We encourage everyone in the security industry to nominate deserving individuals and companies for these prestigious awards. Together, we can recognize and celebrate those who are making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.”
Last year’s Humanitarian Award was presented to Garrett Savage of ADI, and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award went to SAGE Integration.
Nominations for both awards should be submitted to Larson at tracy.larson@wesuite.com. The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2024. Please visit www.mission500.org/awards/ for an application.
