Mission 500 teams with Bates Security to assist Kentucky flood victims

MIAMI ­– Nonprofit charitable organization Mission 500, serving the needs of children and communities across the U.S., has teamed up with Bates Security to assist flood victims in Kentucky.

The pair worked to acquire and ship more than $200,000 in vital supplies in support of the families affected by severe flooding in the eastern part of the state and are working to provide them with food, water, baby wipes, socks, hand sanitizer, and other valuable necessities. Items were shipped via truck to the affected areas.

More than 52 pallets of supplies were shipped in total to help flood victims. "We are so grateful to the security industry for their support during these difficult times," said Tracy Larson, Co-Chair of the Mission 500 Board. "On behalf of the entire Mission 500 organization, we thank everyone who offered their time and resources to help the families impacted by this natural disaster. Your support allows us to continue this critical work."

Mission 500 worked together with local relief organizations in order to properly distribute supplies, including the Christian Appalachian Project and the employees of Bates Security which Mission 500 called “Instrumental” to local coordination efforts. They offered special thanks to Jessica Sutton, Chris Isaac, and Jeremy Bates of Bates Security for their dedication and hard work.
