New systems, data focus highlight Everon's first year

ORLANDO, Fla.—With the first year of Everon’s rebranding complete, the company formerly known as ADT Commercial continues to “get better every day,” says CEO Dan Bresingham.

During GSX 2024, Bresingham said Everon has had a “great first year” highlighted by six acquisitions and the nearly completed installation of five new systems, essentially completing its separation from ADT.

“It’s been a ton of fun – a lot of work, a lot of work,” he stressed. “ADT was a great parent. They've been great during the separation; they've been very helpful. Sometimes you don't get that help from your parents.”

With the new systems pretty much in place, Bresingham said that not only are customers noticing that things are moving “a little bit quicker, a little bit faster,” but also “our employees are excited about it.”

‘Secret sauce’

Everon purchased what Bresingham called five “traditional” integrators in 2024, along with DIGIOP, a software development company specializing in video and business intelligence solutions, in March. Mike Compton, formerly president and CEO of DIGIOP, joined Everon as chief technology officer following the acquisition.

“Mike’s secret sauce is bringing in data and kind of giving it back to the customer in a useful way, whether it’s alarm data, video data, POS data, or access data,” Bresingham said. “We're just starting to scratch the surface of what that could look like.”

Compton noted that while providing a data aggregation platform is at the core of what DIGIOP does, the company’s real skill is taking raw information and presenting it proactively so customers can act.

“What we try to do is leverage the data to drive intelligence into the platform so we can tell the customer, ‘Hey, we think these are the things you need to go do, and these are the areas that we're seeing that are potential problems,’” he said. “It's really all about driving intelligence back to the user and taking what historically has been a reactive tech stack in our industry and how do we make that a proactive tech stack.”

Blocking and tackling

Bresingham noted that year two will see Everon being “very selective” in terms of prospective additions on the M&A side, as well as focusing on bringing in new talent to the company.

He also noted that Everon will continue to take a “blocking and tackling” approach when it comes to doing business in the coming year, whether it’s answering the phone quicker, doing installs on time or communicating better.

“(It’s about) getting better a little bit every day, which I would argue we are,” Bresingham concluded.
