Northstar approved Qolsys for its Affiliate Funding Program

OREM, Utah—Northstar, a residential security and monitoring company based here, recently announced that Qolsys products have been approved for dealers participating in its Affiliate Funding Program.

The Qolsys product line, including the IQ Panel 2, IQ Panel 2 Plus, IQ Remote and encrypted PowerG and S-Line intrusion sensors can help NorthStar Affiliates attract new customers by offering appealing security, life safety, and smarthome solutions, the announcement said.

“This is direct reaction to partner demand,” Nick Perry, Northstar VP of Business Development, said in a prepared statement. “Qolsys is a leader in innovation and technology in our space, and their latest product line and feature set made this a very easy decision. In addition to receiving discounted pricing through distribution, NorthStar Affiliates will receive a premium panel bonus when installing Qolsys products, making it economically appealing to adopt the high-end panel,” Perry added.

The “All-in-One” IQ Panel 2 Plus has a 7” HD capacitive touchscreen with Dual SRF Featuring PowerG, a wireless security communication technology. In addition to PowerG the IQ Panel 2 Plus also supports one of three legacy frequencies: 319.5 (GE/Interlogix) 345 MHz, (Honeywell/2Gig) or 433 MHz (DSC) allowing dealers to upgrade older systems without requiring a translator.

“PowerG takes range off the table while bringing a powerful commercial technology to the residential market including two-way communication, remote access, and banking level frequency hopping encryption,” Mike Hackett, SVP Sales and Marketing, said in a prepared statement. “Dual SRF allows dealers to deploy PowerG while still providing support for the legacy devices currently installed inside the home, eliminating replacement costs associated with wireless translators and life safety devices. Dual SRF delivers the most comprehensive sensor portfolio bridging the past with the future of security.”
