OnSSI's Ocularis provides surveillance at presidential debate

PEARL RIVER, N.Y.—OnSSI's Ocularis video surveillance software provided an added layer of security for the final presidential debate on Oct. 22 at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., according to a company statement.

With its open-architecture, all-IP design, OnSSI's Ocularis enabled the city of Boca Raton to expand its video surveillance system and provide video coverage of the locations and events surrounding the debate.

The debate continues OnSSI's tradition of taking part in the run-up to the presidential elections, which started in the 2008 campaign, when Ocularis was deployed for both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

OnSSI's Ocularis platform manages video feeds from a “virtually unlimited” number of cameras with immediate access to live views and recorded video. The platform supports multiple-network operation, both wired and wireless, which allows municipalities and public safety agencies to expand their systems.
