Select Security calls new ERP system 'transformative'

LANCASTER, Pa.—Select Security, a super-regional based here, received the highest honor at the SedonaOffice annual users conference when it was named Customer of the Year, according to a March 18 news release. The recognition comes in the first year of Select Security's implementation of SedonaOffice's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite.

“We are honored and pleased to receive this recognition,” Select Security President, Steve Firestone, said in a prepared statement. “Our company has seen significant growth over the past year, and we couldn't have done it without the support of the SedonaOffice team. Their software has been a transformative tool that now allows us to manage our business in a data driven manner.”

Since the migration to SedonaOffice, Select Security has been able to leverage customer information into real-time improvements in customer service, which is a top priority for the company, according to Firestone. The SedonaOffice modules allow management to track inventory and usage data, maintain a consistent and efficient job processing flow, and give individual team members the information needed to create a powerful customer experience.

The automation built into the software also powers Select Security's accounting department, business management, and operations departments, allowing for streamlined operations and the ability to offload manual tasks that employees used to have to perform by hand, the company said. “When we can get automatic notifications of inspection dates and track the frequency and reason for service calls, we're able to better understand what the majority of our customers are experiencing and can make adjustments when needed,” according to Firestone.

Michael Marks, co-founder of Perennial Software, maker of SedonaOffice, said in a prepared statement: “Within the first few months since implementing SedonaOffice as their financial accounting and business management software, Select Security has been able to see marked improvements in the way they run and operate their business.”
