WASHINGTON –Three area security companies in the nation's capitol region received contracts from the Federal Protective Services to install alarm systems, closed circuit television systems and intrusion detection systems, according to a Department of Homeland Security statement.
Contract recipients include Severna Park, Md.-based Affiliated Services Inc., Chantilly, Va.-based Energy Technologies Corp., and Lorton, Va.-based eVigilant.com.
In its solicitation, the DHS said the security requirements are designed to “ensure the safety and well-being of the public and federal employees.”
The alarm system and intrusion detection system will be installed on a federal building here. A total of 14 buildings will receive CCTV systems under the contract, according to a request for proposal. For buildings with previous CCTV capabilities, contractors will integrate new equipment into the existing infrastructure.
