Tri-Ed/Northern Video lends support to Habitat

WOODBURY, N.Y.—Fifteen Tri-Ed / Northern Video employees from across North America volunteered from Sept. 15-22 at Habitat for Humanity on John Island, S.C., according to a company statement.

The group, which spanned senior management to sales and administrative staff, worked for the full week on a home under construction, performing tasks such as demolition, digging a foundation, and installing gables, tresses, hurricane plates and vinyl siding — all without the aid of automated machinery.

The main house that Tri-Ed / Northern Video employees worked on was being built for a mother, her two children and her handicapped grandmother.

“This was a truly fulfilling experience for our employees and a great way for our company to give back to the community,” Pat Comunale, president and CEO of Tri-Ed / Northern Video, stated. “As Habitat says, they are a helping hand, not a handout. It was our privilege and pleasure to lend our support and helping hands to this very important cause.”
