RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y.—Tunstall Healthcare Group is continuing its expansion plans with the acquisition of another medical alarm company, Healthcare Monitoring Systems, which is based here.
In early June, Tunstall acquired Kupuna Monitoring Systems, a PERS provider based in Hawaii. Allison Frazer, Tunstall Americas' director of marketing, told Security Systems News that the June acquisition was part of an ongoing growth strategy.
“The HMS team has been providing outstanding service to the central New York region for more than two decades,” Casey Pittock, Tunstall Americas' president and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “We plan to expand further together via Medicaid contracts and referral partners in the area.”
Bill Cusworth, founder and president of HMS, said in the release, "We believe that our local service delivery and strong relationships with referral partners and government agencies, combined with Tunstall's world-leading connected care monitoring products and services, will really help potentially thousands of people in our region.”
Tunstall Americas provides healthcare monitoring from call centers in New York and Rhode Island.
