SAN ANTONIO—United Central Control, a provider of monitored security services based here, has hired James Beaty, formerly the general manager of central station operations at CVS, to head its business development initiatives, according to a company statement.
“We are excited to have James aboard,” UCC senior vice president Mark Matlock said in the statement. “It's always good to see the world through a different lens, especially with the dramatic changes in the alarm industry right now. James will bring a fresh new perspective.”
In his new role, Beaty will continue to develop UCC products and services for electronic security dealers. He is a 30-year veteran of the electronic security industry, with 20 years managing and developing proprietary alarm programs for two major retailers.
In the coming years, UCC will seek to find ways to help members of its dealer program expand their customer bases, the statement noted.
“Our focus is to help our dealers complement their existing offerings and grow their monthly recurring revenue,” Don Munford, UCC CEO, said in the statement. “With James' leadership, we expect to continue developing new services sought by dealers in the electronic security industry.”
