SANTA ANA, Calif.—Universal Protection Service, a provider of security services based here, announced recently the acquisition of CastleGuard Security, a security company servicing the Miami-Fort Lauderdale region, according to a UPS press release.
The acquisition expands the guard and security company's guard force in southern Florida.
“We are excited to take on the special customers and vertical markets that CastleGuard protected,” Brian Cescolini, chairman and co-CEO, Universal Services of America, said in a prepared statement. “Because of our emerging presence in Florida, CastleGuard is an important strategic acquisition that relates to our core business.”
The CastleGuard acquisition comes on the heels of UPS' purchase of A&R Security Services which expanded Universal's guard force in the Midwest. In May 2012, Universal acquired San Diego-based Heritage Security Services and its patented guard-tracking technology.
