Vivint named “Home Security Company of the Year” at IoT Breakthrough Awards

PROVO, Utah – Vivint Smart Home Inc. has been riding high after a boost to its stock performance in the past month following the announcement of its acquisition by NRG Energy Inc. Now it adds another feather in its cap thanks to IoT Breakthrough.

Vivint has been named the “Home Security Company of the Year” in the Seventh Annual IoT Breakthrough Awards Program. IoT Breakthrough is an organization that recognizes top technologies, companies, and products related to the Internet of Things (IoT) market.  According to the organization, their mission is to recognize individuals as innovators, leaders, and visionaries around the world in several IoT categories (Industrial and Enterprise IoT, Smart City technology, Connected Home and Home Automation, Connected Car, etc.) This year’s awards attracted more than 4000 nominations in total.
