PROVO, Utah—Vivint today announced it has raised $1.5 million from its Vivint Gives Back “Summer of Service” initiative, according to a press release.
Vivint employees donated one-half of the total money raised, a percentage of which was raised in June when employees were encouraged to donate a portion of their commissions to go toward funding various regional causes. Using corporate funds, Vivint matches the employee contributions, bringing the total to $1.5 million.
The Vivint Gives Back campaign focused on raising funds and providing hands-on service in local communities by setting a goal of completing 80 separate projects with more than 6,000 hours of time donated by employees. For several charitable ventures, Vivint partnered with Habitat for Humanity, the Ronald McDonald House Charities and Tapestries of Light.
