Judge dismisses patent infringement lawsuit against Mobotix

NEW YORK—A patent infringement lawsuit against Mobotix Corp. has been dismissed. Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery dismissed the suit, filed by San Antonio, Texas-based e-Watch Inc., according to Mobotix, a provider of network-based surveillance systems. The judgment was entered after the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office had determined, upon the request of Mobotix, that one of four patents in the patent infringement lawsuit is not patentable, according to a prepared statement from Mobotix.
