NFPA awards 2015 Jensen grant to fire department in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE—The National Fire Protection Association has awarded the North Shore Fire Department of Milwaukee its $5,000 2015 Rolf H. Jensen Memorial Public Education Grant. The grant will support the department's “Prevent, Prepare and React” home assessment and smoke alarm installation campaign. North Shore serves seven communities, where a risk assessment showed that the percentage of adults 65 and over was above the national average. Many did not have working smoke alarms...
