SIA sends letter seeking tariff relief for essential security products

SILVER SPRING, Md.—On April 22, 2025, the Security Industry Association (SIA) sent a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick requesting relief from tariffs for security industry products.  In addition, the letter asked that the Trump administration formulate a process that allows companies to apply for product-specific exemptions.
