WESTON, Ore.—A June 9 story from the East Oregonian reports the town council is considering an ordinance penalizing false burglar or fire alarms. The council is discussing the county's law, which includes an escalating fee for repeated false alarms. The first time is a warning, the second is a $50 fine.
