Honeywell CEO honored by Barron's

MELVILLE, N.Y.—Honeywell CEO Dave Cote was recently added to the Barron's World's Best CEO in 2013 list, according to a company statement.
Cote is credited with building a strong 10-year track record of financial performance, which includes increasing sales by 71 percent to $37.7 billion and free cash flow by 66 percent to $3.7 billion. He also helped deliver a total shareowner return of 240 percent, the statement said.

Honeywell helps first responders respond to Sandy

At Honeywell's First Alert Professional conference in Hollywood, Fla. last week, everyone there expressed concern about the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which battered the East Coast last week. But Honeywell isn't just expressing sympathy—this week it said it's also taking action by donating more than a half a million dollars in first responder products for relief efforts and also providing financial and other assistance to its employees impacted by the storm.
