Police department ceases monitoring

The Enterprise, Ala. police department will discontinue alarm monitoring of residences and commercial business. The Enterprise City Council voted to discontinue the Enterprise Police Department's involvement in monitoring burglary and fire alarms, according to the Enterprise Ledger. The police department currently monitors 17 residences and six businesses in the city as an additional source of income.
