SANTA ANA, Calif. —Allied Universal, a provider of security and facility services, spotlighted 11 of its security professionals from the company’s branch in Puerto Rico who volunteered to help Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian.
“I am so honored to lead such a dedicated group of security professionals,” said Alejandro Rivera, Allied Universal General Manager. “They performed extraordinarily well under the most difficult conditions and stayed true to our values.”
These 11 security professionals arrived in Florida on Friday, Sept. 30, and remained in-state for the next week.
On the heels of experiencing Hurricane Fiona, these members of the Allied Universal Puerto Rico team were ready to help others. During Hurricane Fiona, many security professionals remained on duty several hours beyond their scheduled shifts to ensure that their posts were covered.
“Kudos to the Puerto Rico team for their exemplary performance and continued dedication to our employees, our company and our clients,” noted Steve Jones, Global Chairman and CEO, Allied Universal. “Despite the destruction and challenging conditions that Puerto Rico faced during Hurricane Fiona, 95 percent of our Puerto Rico team were able to safely report to work.”
