Ambient.ai announces integration partnership with Axis Communications

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Computer vision intelligence company Ambient.ai has announced a partnership with Axis Communications in integrating the Ambient.ai platform with Axis Network Cameras.

The partnership, building on Axis’ Technology Integration Partner Program, provides advanced threat detection and response solutions to enhance physical security for the Ambient.ai and Axis Communications joint customer base (which includes Fortune 500 companies).

“Axis Network Cameras are ideal for the Ambient.ai Platform for several reasons, including their ongoing support for open standards and extensible solutions,” Ambient.ai wrote. “Adherence to these open standards, including ONVIF, enables solutions to quickly integrate to allow seamless configuration of stream profiles and AI-optimized video.”

Ambient.ai proposed that it not only integrated with Axis’ video feeds but also leverages its VAPIX APIs to integrate with Axis speakers. That allows customers to enable external speaker-based alerts for perimeter security breaches. Those are in addition to Ambient.ai’s computer vision-powered internal alerting systems that utilize the platform to notify security through multiple channels (desktop and mobile) according to an organization’s security operations protocols.
