ARLINGTON, Mass.—American Alarm and Communications has appointed John Tanner to regional general manager, which is a new position in the growing company, according to a Sept. 30 news release.
“We remain on a steady growth trajectory, so it's important to evolve our operational and management structure to take customer service to the next level,” said Wells Sampson, American Alarm president, in a prepared statement. “As a regional leader, John will help us become even more efficient and effective while maintaining a laser focus on customer service.”
Tanner will manage the Worcester, Mass. branch, the New Hampshire division and a Boston-area installation team. In New Hampshire, he succeeds William McLaughlin, company president in that state, who has retired, according to the release.
Tanner began working in the industry as an installation technician. He moved into sales and service before starting his own company. He worked with a national security company in New England before joining American Alarm.
