Axis, Hubbell Lighting, TOTUS debut 'Active Deterrence fixture'

GREENVILLE, S.C.—An 'Active Deterrence fixture' will be shown at the Axis Communications booth (1023) at the Sept. 29-Oct. 1 ASIS show in Atlanta.
The product is the result of a collaboration between lighting provider Hubbell Lighting, based here,� TOTUS Solutions, a provider of outdoor lighting based security platforms, and network camera provider Axis Communications.
It combines Spaulding Lighting's Cimarron LED fixture� controlled by the Integrated TOTUS Surveillance Platform with a built-in Axis Communications multi-megapixel IP video surveillance camera.

“By combining Axis Communication's advanced multi-megapixel IP video surveillance camera with our iTSP� into Spaulding Lighting's fixture, we've created an Active Deterrence fixture to help prevent and deter crime instead of just recording it while it occurs,” said Gregory Williams, CEO of TOTUS Solution, in a prepared statement.
