CANASA, ASIS to collaborate on Ottawa security show

MARKHAM, Ontario—The Canadian Security Association (CANASA) and ASIS International 140 Ottawa Chapter will team up to put on the Security Canada Ottawa trade show in June 2014.
“We are excited about the next phase in the development of the Ottawa Security Showcase and Seminar. Moving into our third year, we are pleased that CANASA has partnered with us for 2014 to grow and develop this annual event,” said John Sheridan, ASIS Ottawa Chapter 140 chairman, in a Sept. 3 press release. “CANASA's expertise and past successes with Security Canada Conferences and Exhibitions will greatly enhance our ability to deliver a quality showcase, for both attendees and vendors alike.”
CANASA Executive Director JF Champagne said, “This partnership also demonstrates our commitment to serve not only the traditional security contractors but also the corporate security professionals with our ever-expanding partnership with ASIS Canada.”
Security Canada conferences and exhibitions draw international exhibitors and attendees, according to the press release. Next year, events will be held in Ottawa, Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick and Ontario.
