Counting Down the Days to Nashville

Music City, here we come!

We are just days away from the security industry’s must-see event of the year as we proudly present our SecurityNext conference at The Westin Nashville from April 25-27.

The Security Systems News team is so excited that SecurityNext is back to an in-person format after the COVID-19 pandemic relegated last year’s conference to a virtual format, which is just not same, don’t you agree?

There’s only one word to describe the lineup for this year’s SecurityNext conference – AWESOME! In addition to the keynote speakers, informative sessions, exhibits, and invaluable networking opportunities that our conference always provides, if I may say so myself, we at SSN are proud to host a cocktail reception on the opening night of the conference on Monday, April 25.

Our kick-off cocktail reception will be the first of many chances during the conference to reconnect with colleagues - some of whom you may have not seen in person in over two years – or connect with industry folks who you may have only met virtually and are meeting for the very first time. Whatever the case may be, the cocktail reception is your first opportunity to talk shop, catch up, and perhaps generate business opportunities, as well as create friendships that could last a lifetime. All of these activities are strongly encouraged while enjoying the food and drinks that will be offered during opening night!

Keeping with the “awesome” theme, the lineup of speakers and educational sessions we have scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday is absolutely stellar, to say the least. From the State of the Industry Roundtable to kick things off on Tuesday morning all the way through learning Security from the Consultant’s Perspective on Wednesday afternoon, every session is designed for all security professionals - systems integrators, alarm dealers, monitoring companies, consultants, end users, and manufacturers – to learn about the latest trends and emerging technologies, and hopefully provide a roadmap to success for your business.

What I am most looking forward to at SecurityNext is our “40 under 40” awards reception on Tuesday night. This diverse and talented group of young security professionals representing the Class of 2021 is an incredible mix of security systems integrators, security consultants, security dealers, monitoring professionals, end users and other industry professionals.

In addition, this year’s class features 14 women, up again from the previous year, which continues to reflect the changing culture and dynamic within our industry.

As this is my first SecurityNext, I can’t wait to see the faces of the winners from the Class of 2021 as they accept their awards representing the next generation of leaders in security.

And “here’s the thing” about award receptions. In addition to honoring our Class of 2021 “40 under 40” winners on Tuesday evening, we are so proud to present our Security Legend Awards to the incredible husband-and-wife team of Andrew and Christine Lanning, co-founders of Integrated Security Technologies Inc. We could not think of two more deserving honorees of SSN’s Security Legend Award than the Lannings, and we cannot wait to celebrate and honor the industry accomplishments of “the ultimate security power couple” in Nashville! And kudos in advance for the Lannings making the trek from Honolulu to Nashville to join us!
