Exploring the merger, part 2: Eyeing ‘powerful’ position in VSaaS market

COPENHAGEN, Denmark — With Arcules’s cloud-based solutions and Milestone’s extensive global reach and channel partner network, the merged company is well-positioned to lead the video technology software industry and capture a significant share of the growing VSaaS market, says Milestone CEO Thomas Jensen. 

“The two companies have had a common goal of providing reliable, data-based video technology,” he said. “(VSaaS) technology helps customers improve their decisions and operations, while respecting ethical standards. This goal has been central to Arcules’ and Milestone’s individual strategic plans. As a unified company, this becomes even more powerful.” 

Video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) has been growing exponentially as a cloud-based monitoring solution – it's similar to CCTV but with access to footage more readily available remotely.  A report from MarketsandMarkets projects the VSaaS market to double in size to $10.7 Billion by 2029. 

As the merged company makes a bigger splash in the VSaaS market, Arcules and Milestone customers and partners will benefit, Jensen says. 

“Customers and partners can look forward to a comprehensive video technology offering that draws on the strengths of both companies in video management software (VMS), video analytics and VSaaS,” he said.  

Jensen added that this stronger product offering will allow Arcules and Milestone customers and partners to better respond to developments in the global video surveillance market and, therefore, generate more business. 

The merger between Milestone and Arcules is scheduled to be finalized by the end of the year.
