NEW YORK—ISC East organizers announced that the trade show scheduled for Oct. 29-31 here at the Javits Center is postponed, due to Hurricane Sandy.
The Security Industry Association's Gala, originally scheduled for Oct. 30, has also been postponed. PSA Security Network CEO Bill Bozeman, the 2012 recipient of the George R. Lippert Memorial Award, was to be honored at the event.
Details on rescheduled events will be available at siaonline.org and isceast.com. Further information is also available from text message notifications. To sign-up for text message notifications, text ISCEAST to 75572.
In a prepared statement, Ed Several of Reed Expo, said “Due to the fact that the Governor of New York shutdown mass transit beginning at 7 pm Sunday, Oct. 28 and ordered a mandatory evacuation of the Javits Center on Sunday, October 28, we are not in a position yet to try to secure new dates. I can confirm the revised dates will not be during the week of October 29, 2012 or the week of November 5, 2012.”
ISC East is offering free storage for exhibitors that “wish to keep their materials in the New York area until the next ISC East. However if you do not wish to store materials already sent to the show you can make arrangements to have your shipment picked up from Javits this Wednesday,” the statement said.
