Lou Fiore named chairman of SISC

VIENNA, Va.—Alarm Industry Communications Committee Chairman Lou Fiore was named chairman of the Security Industry Standards Council (SISC).
Joe Gittens, director of standards with the Security Industry Association, told the Central Station Alarm Association that Fiore, who also represents CSAA within the SISC, “will be a driving force for SISC as it continues its leadership role in the standards activities within the physical security industry.” � �
Gittens added, “I would like to thank Rob Zivney, with Identification Technology Partners Inc., for his excellent service as SISC chair over the past two years. As per SISC policy, Rob will remain involved with SISC as vice chair for the next year, after which we will have an election for his replacement, who will take over as chair after Lou's two-year term.”
The next SISC meeting will be held via web-conference within the coming weeks. The time and date of the meeting will be posted on the SIA website at: www.siaonline.org/standards.
