DELRAY BEACH, Fla.—Tony Cassell, global security director for Dropbox, will deliver the keynote address at TechSec Solutions, the industry's premiere new and emerging technology conference, which will take place here Feb. 2-3.
Securing a 30-employee, one-location startup is vastly different from securing a global, multi-location enterprise. But some companies—such as Dropbox—go from startup to enterprise in less than a decade.
Cassell will share his experience designing a security platform that will grow with an organization. Drawing from his experience at Dropbox and also at Facebook, Cassell will discuss strategy, planning stages, technology assessment, integrator and manufacturer relationships, and how Dropbox culture and values fit into the security scenario.
Cassell came from the IT world. His first security job was with Facebook. He joined Facebook in 2007—at the time a 300-person organization—and built the company's physical security program from scratch. At Dropbox since 2013, Cassell is now architecting and implementing their enterprise security program.
Every year, TechSec brings together executives from leading security integration firms, security professionals from the public and private sector, consultants, manufacturers and investors to address the most topical security technology issues.
The format is debate and discussion. Manufacturer pitches are strictly forbidden.
The 2016 educational program will delve into biometrics, IoT, cloud, health care security, cybersecurity and more. The educational program can be viewed here.
