MorphoTrust signs fingerprint deals

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—MorphoTrust USA has signed deals to provide fingerprint-based background checks for law enforcement in three states. The contracts could be worth as much as $25.2 million, the company announced Feb. 3.
MorphoTrust has signed deals to provide fingerprint-based background checks for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security and the New Jersey Department of Public Safety, Division of State Police, as well as fingerprint channeling services for Nevada's Department of Public Safety, according to a news release.
“These awards recognize MorphoTrust's leadership as an enrollment services provider, specifically with regard to the secure capture and transmission of fingerprints to support many state and federal programs and commercial businesses,” said Bob Eckel, MorphoTrust CEO, in a prepared statement. “Identity verification—ensuring individuals are who they claim to be—has never been more important, especially when it comes to taking care of our children and accessing our health care and public safety systems.”
