Power Home Technologies signs up with Monitronics

DALLAS—A new partnership between “one of the top dealers in the country” and recently acquired Monitronics, one of the largest wholesale monitoring companies in the country, means only good things, according to both parties.
Founded in 2004, Power Home Technologies has installed security systems in more than 30,000 homes in the U.S. The company made Inc. Magazine's 500 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies list in 2009. In March PHT announced it joined the Monitronics Authorized Dealer Program.
Monitronics' dealer marketing supervisor Renee Mallonee told Security Systems News PHT was an important addition to the Monitronics team.
“They're a large national dealer so they have several branches across the country,” Mallonee said. “The partnership with Power Home Technology is a big win for us.”
Power Home Technologies CEO Ben Brookhart agrees the partnership is a good fit.
“This is a very big deal for PHT because we have only been partners with one dealer program since we started our company in 2004 … We currently average around 800 new residential installs per month making us one of the top dealers in the country,” Brookhart said. “Monitronics allows us to build our PHT brand and identity with our own yard signs, window decals, advertisement, and referral relationships.”
“Being part of the Monitronics program allows dealers the opportunity to brand their companies in a way that works best for their business,” said Bruce Mungiguerra, Monitronics VP of sales and dealer development in a statement. “We're here to support them in every way possible.”
Brookhart said plans were to solidify brand recognition and expand PHT's footprint.
“This partnership also allows us to sell and market monitoring services that are going to change the industry. These services have never been available to us before,” Brookhart said. “We are very excited to become the newest authorized dealer for Monitronics and believe that with their sales, operation, growth, and customer support, we will double the size of our business in the next year.”
