Latch has announced its new M3 Retrofit Lock, which is designed to retrofit common mortise locks from Schlage, Sargent, Corbin, Marks, and Best.
Mortise locks are a commonly used locking system in multi-family properties, which makes the M3 an efficient way for owners to seamlessly upgrade their resident experience and drive Net Operating Income (NOI). The new M3 joins Latch’s suite of locks, access control solutions, and building monitoring systems that help Latch customers deliver value to their residents and generate more NOI.

Verkada announced that it will offer customers a new AI-powered search in Beta. Leveraging a
large language and large vision model, Verkada's AI-powered search will enable customers to use everyday language to search their video security camera footage for people and vehicles, making their investigations even more intuitive and efficient. AI-powered search also enables customers to address industry-specific operational concerns – everything from retailers looking to identify shoplifters to manufacturing customers looking to ensure workplace safety.

Hikvision is unveiling its Solar Solutions lineup at a May 23 webinar, showcasing this solution to
security challenges in standalone sites and hard to reach remote locations. Hikvision’s Solar Solutions include six models with broad feature sets for various applications including the 4 MP ColorVu Solar-Powered Security System with two models: DS-2XS6A47G1-IZS/C36S80(2.8-12mm), and DS-2XS6A47G1-IZS/C36S80(8-32mm). The Solar-Powered Camera Kits deliver full-color video security, anytime, anywhere, without the need for a traditional power supply or internet connection.
