Pye-Barker acquires Metro Fire & Safety Equipment

ATLANTA – Pye-Barker Fire & Safety announced the acquisition of Metro Fire & Safety Equipment in New Jersey on Oct. 6, 2022.

The full-service fire and life protection company issued a release on the acquisition stating that Metro Fire & Safety will increase their presence in the state and surrounding region. Their recent additions in the past months which include Integrated Security Group (ISG) and Complete Security Systems (CSS) among others have made them one of the largest fire and safety companies in the Northeast.

"We're proud to join the Pye-Barker family as we continue to grow in the New Jersey market," said Metro Fire & Safety president Brian Campbell. "Under Pye-Barker's guidance, we can serve additional customers and create new opportunities for our team members to continue building their careers."

Beginning in 1962, Metro Fire & Safety Equipment started as a one-man fire extinguisher operation working out of a garage before growing over the past 60 years. Now they special in full-service protection and design, installation, and inspection of equipment to enhance safety of people and property. In addition, the group also sells industrial safety equipment and supplies to fire departments.

"Like Pye-Barker, Metro Fire & Safety grew from a small operation focused on extinguishers to a full-service company that provides critical protection to people and businesses in the communities they serve," said Pye-Barker CEO, Bart Proctor. "We're excited to have Metro Fire on board and help them continue their legacy of quality service."

Pye-Barker has stated that Campbell will continue operating the company and retain its managers and technicians while receiving their support.
