SILVER SPRING, Md.—The Security Industry Association will present the Jay Hauhn Excellence in Partnerships Award to Ray Coulombe of SecuritySpecifiers at SIA Honors Night Nov. 18.
Coulombe is being honored for working to increase collaboration between SIA and the Construction Specifications Institute, SIA said in a prepared statement.
“Ray was an incredible volunteer and leader on SIA's successful project to update Division 28 of the Construction Specifications Institute MasterFormat, which was a project that involved dozens of volunteers, many of whom participated at Ray's personal invitation. Ray's efforts through this project also established a partnership with CSI itself,” SIA CEO Don Erickson said in the statement.
Coulombe's experience includes being the founder and managing director of SecuritySpecifiers and RepsForSecurity. He also is on the advisory board of Security Systems News' TechSec Solutions conference.
The Hauhn Award is presented each year to an individual with a SIA member company who has taken specific action to foster collaboration between SIA and industry/practitioner organizations consistent with SIA's overall strategic priorities.
This year, the award will be presented at The Current at Chelsea Piers in New York City, SIA said.
