SSN seeks nominees for '20 under 40' Class of 2013

YARMOUTH, Maine—It's time once again for youth to be served.

Security Systems News is seeking nominees for its “20 under 40” Class of 2013, talented young professionals who are stepping up as the next generation of security industry leaders. If you know of a colleague who fits the bill, you can recognize them by submitting their nomination at securitysystemsnews.com.

The requirements to be included on the seventh annual list are simple: Nominees must be employed by an integration firm, residential installation company, fire systems installation company or third-party monitoring center, and they must be age 40 or younger.

The editors of SSN will review the candidates and select 20 who we believe show exceptional dedication to the industry and possess strong leadership skills. All nominations for the Class of 2013 must be received by April 17.

Many of the 120 professionals recognized in the past six years have gone on to become well known in the field. The list has included CEOs, company presidents, central station managers, system engineers, sales representatives and account directors. It's not the title that counts, it's the hard work and dedication behind it.

In a nod to those who have helped the “20 under 40” standouts get to where they are, SSN for the second year will also pay tribute to five security industry mentors. The editors will choose the mentors based on interviews with the 20 young professionals selected this year.

The Class of 2013 and the five mentors will be featured in the June issue of SSN. They'll also be honored at the Electronic Security Expo in Nashville, Tenn., on June 17-21.
