VIENNA, Va.—VidSys, a provider of PSIM software, today announced that the city of Houston deployed its software to manage potential security threats during the NBA All-Star festivities held Feb. 14-17, according to a company statement.
Using VidSys software, public safety personnel were able to fuse, view and share with multiple public and private agencies data used to protect visitors and participants during the weekend festivities.
The software integrated Houston's existing cameras and other security devices throughout the downtown area along with video feeds from police helicopters to provide a complete view of activity in public space around the Toyota Center, the statement said.
The PSIM software was introduced by the Mayor's Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security to be an integral part of Houston's ongoing public safety measures, according to the statement.
