Washington Alarm acquires Klepps, expands local reach

SEATTLE—Washington Alarm, a local provider of fire alarm and security system installation, service, and monitoring, has announced the acquisition of Klepps, Inc, another local small business providing fire alarm, access control, and CCTV video solutions.

This strategic move unites two companies with a shared dedication to safeguarding our local communities and delivering outstanding customer service.

Washington Alarm"We are thrilled to welcome Klepps into the Washington Alarm family," said Shannon Woodman, CEO of Washington Alarm. "This acquisition not only expands our service capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to protecting our local community that has been the cornerstone of our business since 1943."

Founded by Jack Woodman and now under the leadership of Shannon Woodman, Washington Alarm has served Washington State for over 81 years. The company's in-house UL-listed Five Diamond Certified Central Station in Seattle monitors over 10,000 customers, ensuring the highest standards of safety and security.

Klepps, Inc., established by Daniel and Natalia Clep, shares a rich history with Washington Alarm. The acquisition represents a full-circle journey, as Daniel Clep was once a technician at Washington Alarm.

"In the late 1990s, Daniel Clep, one of the founders of Klepps, worked for my father at Washington Alarm as a technician,” Woodman said. “We were thrilled to support him in his journey as he attended programming school. After graduating, Daniel went on to establish Klepps, building it into the reputable company it is today."

After considering several offers, Daniel and his wife Natalia decided on the full-circle opportunity with Washington Alarm. He knew his customers and employees would be well taken care of, especially with his experience working at Washington Alarm.
