LAS VEGAS—Yale Locks & Hardware showcased its next generation of key free Z-Wave deadbolts at the ISC West show here with the introduction of new push button and touchscreen models.
The new Yale Real Living Key Free Push Button B1L and Key Free Touchscreen T1L Deadbolts offer streamlined installation, enhanced security, one button Z-Wave enrollment, a clean, modern appearance, and are competitively priced compared to competing electronic deadbolts, the company said in an April news release.
The Yale key free deadbolts eliminate the cylinder and as a result offer homeowners superior security and integrators simplified installation, according to Yale. For homeowners, the elimination of the cylinder means that the lock can't be picked or bumped. For installers, it means that installation is a much smoother process. By eliminating the key override, the new Yale locks appeal not only to homeowners, but also installers, since installation is easier and faster, especially since no keying is required, the company said.
