Hikvision adds analytics

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.—Video surveillance provider Hikvision and video analytics provider Agent Video Intelligence (Agent Vi), announced that Agent Vi's embedded component will run on Hikvision cameras.
The integration enables end users to run Agent Vi's full range of video analytics solutions on up to 200 Hikvision cameras simultaneously per single server, the companies announced. Hikvision's U.S. operations are based here; Agent Vi is based in Rosh Ha'ayin, Israel.

ROSH HA'AYIN, Israel and RESTON, Va.—ObjectVideo and Agent Vi have signed a patent license agreement, the companies announced recently.
The global, non-exclusive, royalty-bearing license to ObjectVideo's 55 patents gives protection to Agent Vi's products, according to the announcement. Agent Vi produces open architecture video analytics software.

Both CNN and the Boston Globe on Wednesday, April 17 reported that a suspect has been identified in the Boston Marathon terrorist bombing and that an arrest has been made or is imminent. Both backed off of that assertion about an hour later, and the Boston Police made a statement saying that no arrest had been made.
