ATLANTA—In an effort to make it easier for integrators to provide comprehensive outdoor security solutions, smart thermal camera provider SightLogix on Sept. 29 launched a Strategic Partner Program, and announced that its first strategic partner is network video giant Axis Communications.
Frank De Fina, SightLogix EVP of sales and marketing, described the program during a media dinner here at the ASIS show.
The idea, De Fina said, is to offer systems integrators a ready-made, comprehensive “best of breed” solution that includes the core competencies of SightLogix—namely the outdoor perimeter detection capabilities of the company's SightSensor thermal cameras—with core competencies of established video surveillance companies such as Axis Communications.
The majority of SightLogix' installations include other IP cameras, VMS and access control solutions.
John Romanowich, SightLogix president and CEO, said SightLogix took a look at what other cameras are used in its installations and “we partner with Axis 75 percent of the time.”
De Fina characterized SightLogix as an “underground company,” but added that while it's not a household name, SightLogix “protects some of the most highly valued assets,” most of which the company cannot discuss.
The benefits to providers who join the partner program is twofold—they will receive leads from SightLogix, and they will spend less time and money on the integration process for individual installations, De Fina said.
In a prepared statement, Axis Communications GM Americas Fredrik Nilsson called the partnership a natural fit that “brings together the performance and capabilities of superior IP video and thermal intrusion detection, providing a comprehensive solution to best meet the need of customers.”
