Canadian Security Association's executive director resigns

MARKHAM, Ontario—JF Champagne is stepping down as executive director of the Canadian Security Association, effective Aug. 21.
CANASA's national board and executive committee are working with Champagne to manage the transition and will meet to make recommendations on his replacement, the association said in a prepared statement.
CANASA said Champagne “skillfully led the organization, bringing vision, guidance and energy to not only the national board of directors, but to the regional councils and national office staff. His efforts to serve our membership is second to none, which shows through CANASA's most recent successes in membership resources, Security Canada trade shows, alarm Technician course upgrades and government relations initiatives.”
CANASA is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the security industry. It has a membership of more than 1,000 organizations representing all segments of the industry.
Champagne has taken a new job with a national organization based in Ottawa, CANASA said.
