Checkpoint, RGIS partnership to speed implementations

NEW YORK—Checkpoint Systems, supplier of merchandise availability solutions for retail, and RGIS, provider of supply chain, inventory, insights, merchandising and optimization solutions, have partnered to offer a full RFID-based inventory management solution to their retail customers, the companies announced Jan. 13.
“Inventory and data collection are critical to retailers' effective operations,” noted Bill Carpou, RGIS's executive vice president, sales and marketing, in a prepared statement. “Checkpoint and RGIS deliver the full end-to-end solution that retailers are increasingly looking for to best serve their customers and deliver a positive in-store experience while enhancing profitability."
This end-to-end solution blends Checkpoint's Merchandise Visibility Solution with RGIS's inventory specialists, according to the release.
The Merchandise Visibility Solution features OATSystems software; RFID hardware, tags and compliance tools; RFID-based EAS leveraging and point-of-sale solutions; and RFID-trained field engineers, according to the statement. The RGIS team provides tag-up for pilots and implementation, and cycle counting and audits.
