Devcon Security hires new general managers in Richmond and Norfolk

HOLLYWOOD, Fla.—Devcon Security on Aug. 2 announced it had hired new general managers at two of its Virginia locations. The company named Ray Blanchard as general manager in Richmond while Chad Lasky is the new general manager in Norfolk. Blanchard joined Devcon after working for eight years in management at the former Brink's Home Security. He will focus on hiring and training sales people and technicians. Lasky will have those same duties in Norfolk. Before coming to Devcon, he worked for 12 years in management and sales at ADT Security Services. Devcon is the 13th largest home-security monitoring and business alarm company in the U.S., according to Virginia Business.
Also on Aug. 2 Devcon announced it had named Jim Sweeney general manager of the company's Baltimore branch. Sweeney's primary focus is hiring and training sales people and technicians who are committed to providing the best customer service in the Baltimore area. In addition, he will be responsible for building daily branch operations and acting as the brand ambassador working to build partnerships in the local community.
Sweeney joined Devcon Security in 2011 after working for 12 years in sales and management in the security industry at another national company, Guardian Home Technologies.
Its corporate headquarters and security monitoring center is located in Hollywood, Fla.
