DAVENPORT, Iowa—Super-regional Per Mar Security has acquired the assets of two family-owned security companies in Indiana: Centech Security Systems of Valparaiso, and Walkerton-based S&L Services.
“Both of the companies were about 80 percent residential and 20 percent commercial,” Brad Tolliver, VP of Per Mar's Electronic Security Division, told Security Systems News. “They're both located in a new growth market for us and add a larger footprint for us [in the] South Bend marketplace.”
Tolliver declined to discuss terms of the deal or number of accounts acquired. Per Mar, which is based here, will service the accounts of both companies from its Mishawaka, Ind., branch office.
“These businesses offered quality service to customers,” Tolliver said. “We will continue to offer a high level of service and also offer enhanced services with new technology and interactive services.”
Per Mar provides monitoring, guard, investigative and employment screening services, as well as electronic security and fire alarms. It also offers interactive home monitoring services.
Steve Rubin of Davis Mergers and Acquisitions Group advised Centech and S&L Services on the deal, which Davis Mergers and Acquisitions announced Nov. 6.
