Open Options appoints Steve Wagner as president Wagner shares with SSN his views on new role, future of the company

ADDISON, Texas—Open Options, an open platform access control solution company that was acquired by ACRE, LLC in December, has appointed Steve Wagner as the company's new president.
Wagner began his career in the industry in 1986 as VP of sales & marketing for Checkpoint Systems, and then moved on to become the COO with HID Global for 8 years. In 2009, he became the president of Mercury Security and successfully grew that business, which was eventually sold to HID Global/ASSA ABLOY.
“It is very exciting to be joining the Open Options team,” Wagner told Security Systems News. “Open Options is a well-known and respected brand in the access control industry. The company's year on year growth has been outstanding and we want to continue that momentum. We will look for areas where we can expand our reach in targeted vertical markets and strengthen our market share across North America.”
He continued, “Open Options has a great team in place and I will strive to provide some guidance and direction based on my years working in this industry. I look forward to helping the continued growth of this already successful business.”
Steve Fisher, Open Options founder and CEO said Wagner brings extensive knowledge and experience to the Open Options team.
